With Roma on the up in the 2025/26
Serie A season, Gian Piero Gasperini and his men will now set their sights on Fiorentina in matchday six this coming weekend.
Roma will go into their next league game on the back of a 2-0 win against Verona, in a match that took place at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.
The victory saw Roma move into third on the log, while they also recorded a 2-1 victory against Lazio last week. As it stands, Roma bagged four wins and one defeat in Serie A so far.
Argentine attacker Matias Soule, who scored Roma’s second in their win against Verona, believes that his side will improve in front of goal going forward.
“I’m happy but it wasn’t an easy game. It was important to collect three points,” Soule said.
“The team’s defensive solidity is very important right now. It’s a team effort. The goals will come.”

Fiorentina could only manage a 0-0 draw with Pisa last time out and were left frustrated at Stadio Romeo Anconetani, given their recent run of form.
Prior to their game against Pisa, Fiorentina jotted down back-to-back defeats against Napoli and Como respectively.
Fiorentina are now 15
th on the standings after accumulating just three points from five matches played.
