Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso will be targeting an elusive 33rd victory in his Formula One career by clinching the
Qatar Grand Prix.

The Spanish racing driver failed to secure a podium spot at the recent 2023 Japanese Grand Prix title on 24 September as he finished eighth.
Alonso had started on the 10th grid and went on to finish eight which saw him accumulate just four points on the day.
Standings
The former Ferrari driver is still placed fourth on the World Drivers' Championship standings having collected 174 points from 16 races.
Alonso is now 226 points behind leader Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing and 16 points behind third-placed Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes.
Why Alonso could win the 2023 Qatar Grand Prix
The accomplished racing driver secured a podium spot in the last Qatar Grand Prix in 2021 as he finished third on the Lusail International Circuit.
Alonso has the experience and ability to win this weekend's Qatar Grand Prix - recording his 33rd victory in Formula One in the process.
What did he say?
"It was a good race today: a mega start moved us up to sixth and the car felt good despite a lack of performance yesterday," Alonso said after the recent Japanese Grand Prix.
"Having started on the Softs, we pitted a little earlier than those around us and we struggled a bit once we switched to the Hard tyre. On the second set of Hards, we were quite competitive,
"So we were able to push and keep the Alpines behind at the end. Everyone is working flat out at the track and at the AMRTC, so we will keep pushing and look forward to Qatar."
