Seamus Power is the favorite to win the
2022 Bermuda Championship having been a permanent fixture in the tournament since it was established in 2019.
The Irish star is the highest ranked golfer (48th) on the Official World Golf Rankings among those who are set to participate in this year's Bermuda Championship.
Power, who represented Ireland in the 2016 Olympic tournament, finished twelfth at last year's Bermuda Championship and he has been tipped to win the 2022 event.
In July 2021, the Waterford-born golfer lifted his first PGA Tour event at the Barbasol Championship as he won the event on the sixth extra hole of a playoff.
Therefore, Power became the fifth player from the Republic of Ireland to win a PGA Tour event after Pat Doyle, Peter O'Hara, Pádraig Harrington and Shane Lowry.
The former East Tennessee State University student broke into the top 50 for the first time in his career on 17 January 2022, following a third-place finish at the Sony Open in Hawaii.
Power, who finished fifth at the 2022 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, made his third straight major cut, after finishing tied for 12th at the 2022 US Open.
The 35-year-old recently stated that he is not interested in joining LIV Golf,'"I never dreamed of money when it comes to golf. I love playing golf.
"I love the level of accomplishment and the personal reward you get. There's no guarantee you are ever going to make a Ryder Cup, but at least you can set it out as a huge goal and something you've always dreamed of.
"There was no way I was going to give up on that. If you signed up it would be like being in Purgatory - a well-paid Purgatory, yes - but you'd be there in January with 14 events to play and nothing more."
