Zander Lombard will be hoping to go one better at
2022 Joburg Open after finishing in the runner-up spot on two occasions in 2021 and 2016.
The South African was most recently denied his maiden DP World Tour title win by compatriot Thriston Lawrence, who earned victory by four strokes 12 months ago.

Lombard had come close to his first DP World Tour triumph at the 2017 Rocco Forte Open, only to lose to Alvaro Quiros in a two-hole playoff.
The 27-year-old has competed at the Open Championship four times, although he failed to make the cut in his last two appearances in 2019 and 2022.
Lombard featured at the Nedbank Golf Challenge earlier this month but was unable to match his achievement of 2019 when he finished tied for ninth.
Speaking ahead of this year's event, where he finished tied for 64th, the Pretoria native said: "It was an amazing experience for me to finish in the top 10 in 2019 and hopefully I can do even better this year."
