World no. 15 Aaron Rai will be in confident mood when he heads to McKinney, Texas for the Byron Nelson as a first-time major winner.
The Brit made history after he carded a 9-under 271 to beat Jon Rahm and Alex Smalley by three strokes at the PGA Championship - only his second win on the PGA Tour.
Rai became just the second Englishman to claim victory in the second major of the season since Jim Barnes won back-to-back titles more than a century ago in 1916 and 1919.
The 31-year-old had warmed up for the PGA Championship with a fifth-placed finish at the Myrtle Beach Classic, his previous best result of 2026.
Those have been his only two top 10s and Rai is hoping his first major success will lead to more good things on the PGA Tour.
"Golf in itself is an extremely humbling game. There's so much hard work and discipline that goes into acquiring the skills to become better," he said.
"You also realise that nothing is ever given in this game at any point, whether it's a tournament, a practice round, even away from a tournament week. All of these things have to be done diligently and require focus.
"There are a lot of guys who work extremely hard. The level on the PGA Tour is so strong, so it is a prerequisite of what is required to try and compete out here.
"It's extremely affirming to know the things that we're doing are working and leading to continued development within the game. Hopefully I can just continue to move along a pretty similar path moving forward."
