Quotes

“It was important that we won and did so by a large margin. It’s only the first game, now we have to do well in the next ones,” Milan manager Stefano Pioli said after their win over Sampdoria.

“I coach a strong team and then you can also lose. The team have technical skills and character. The disappointment we suffered in the Champions League is strong and will not go away with this match.

“It will be a difficult finish to the season, especially the game against Juventus. Now, however, we need to recover energy to face this season finale in the best possible way," he added.

"In sport, only if you believe only in your abilities and qualities is it easier to obtain certain results. You can’t win everything. “We’ve had ups and downs. The fans have only had ups, they support us above all in delicate and difficult moments. Of course, they will also be there in Turin, there’s no doubt.”
