Ducati Lenovo Team's Jack Miller will be looking to build on his steady start to the 2022 MotoGP season in the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday, May 29.

The Australian claimed his second podium in seven races with a P2 in the French Grand Prix last time out, having already secured the team's first podium of the year in the Grand Prix of the Americas (P3).

Miller is currently fifth in the riders' standings on 62 points after seven rounds, although his contract situation remains unclear with Ducati Lenovo set to decide their rider line-up as early as June for next season.

Ducati team manager Davide Tardozzi indicated earlier this month that they wanted to keep him on their roster, while sporting director Paolo Ciabatti suggested Miller wasn't in the frame for factory retention.

The 27-year-old admits he is no closer to knowing where he future lies, although he would like to continue racing for the factory team.

"At this point in time I don't have an offer," he told the MotoGP website. "I'm not out looking for money... I'm looking for the most competitive bike to put myself in a good position to try to challenge for race wins or podiums.

"I feel at home there, and I would like to stay at home. Whether or not they want to keep me, we'll wait and see."
