Cadiz CF will take on Real Madrid in a Spanish La Liga match at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla on May 15.
 
This will be the seventh meeting between the two teams across all competitions since 2005 when Cadiz were promoted back to the Spanish elite league. 
 
Madrid have the edge in this rivalry having recorded three wins compared to Cadiz's two, while one match ended in a stalemate.

However, Cadiz were able to hold Madrid to a 0-0 draw in their last match in La Liga which was played at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on 19 December 2021. 
 
Meanwhile, However, Cadiz secured an impressive 3-0 win over Elche CF in their last home match in La Liga which was played on May 7.
 
The victory ended the Yellow Submarines' two-match winless run at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla in this competition having registered two consecutive defeats at the hosts. 
 
While Madrid succumbed to a narrow 1-0 loss to Atletico Madrid in their last away game in the league which was played on May 8.
 
The defeat ended the Whites' six-match unbeaten run on the road in La Liga having recorded five victories and one draw.

"The mental part of the game is very important in matches like this. At times, it's crucial. Atlético had an edge in this respect. We didn't need the points, but we needed to put in a good performance," Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti said. 
 
"We did better in the second half. We needed to rest the tired players to prevent any potential problems. It was a good game, particularly the second half. We were close to drawing the game and we have to carry that forward. 
 
"Our priority was to avoid any problems and for those players who haven't played as much, to get some minutes. It'll be like that in the next matches," he continued. 
 
"Those who played the least today will play on Thursday. [Karim] Benzema, [Luka] Modrić, Vinicius [Junior]... These games help us to find our rhythm and we had that until the end today."
