Real Madrid will square off with FC Barcelona in a Spanish La Liga match at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu on March 20.
 
The Whites thumped Real Sociedad 4-1 at home in their previous league game which was played on March 5 and they will be away to Real Mallorca on March 14.
 
Madrid are now unbeaten in their last seven matches in this competition having recorded two draws and five victories.

Madrid are also undefeated in their last 24 home matches in La Liga having registered 17 victories and seven draws as the hosts. 
 
Meanwhile, Barcelona hammered a hapless CA Osasuna side 4-0 at home in their most recent league game which was played on March 13.
 
The victory stretched Barca's unbeaten run to 12 matches in this competition having recorded four draws and eight victories. 

Barcelona are undefeated in their last 10 matches on the road in La Liga having recorded five draws and five wins as the visitors.

“Before Galatasaray, we lowered the intensity and I already said that if you lower it in current football, they will go over you," Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez said after their win over Osasuna. 
 
"Against Osasuna we equalled it and we played a great game. For me, one of the best since I became a coach. The fans and the players have enjoyed themselves and a win like this give us morale. 
 
"Of our competitors, only Sevilla had failed and it was very important to win. “We started an important week for us in the best possible way with very good feelings. We are going to select the best eleven possible according to the circumstances."
 
The last league meeting between Madrid and Barcelona was on 24 October 2021.
 
Madrid edged out Barcelona 2-1 in a match that took place at the 1989 and 1989 UEFA Champions League final venue, Camp Nou.
