The Reds beat West Ham United 3-1 on Sunday for a second straight win by that scoreline in the league, following their victory at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium a few days prior.

Victory over the Hammers moved the defending champions up to third, four points behind Manchester City who they will host this coming weekend.

"If you want to win the league, you have to win every game," said Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, who scored twice at London Stadium. "This year City were struggling in the beginning and now we were struggling three or four games ago.

"So, we just need to carry on and keep winning."

Brighton will make the trip to Merseyside on a three-game unbeaten run in the league. The Seagulls have kept three straight clean sheets in the league following a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur this past weekend, which moved them seven points clear of the relegation zone.

A late penalty from Pascal Gross won Brighton a point in a 1-1 draw between the two clubs at Amex Stadium earlier this season. The result also ended an eight-game winning run for Liverpool in this fixture across all competitions.

Virgil van Dijk scored a brace for 10-man Liverpool in a 2-1 win over Brighton at Anfield last season.
