Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton will be confident of winning the Hungarian Grand Prix title for the fourth time in a row.

The British superstar won last year's race and he is the most decorated driver in the history of the Hungarian Grand Prix with eight titles.

Hamilton returned to winning ways in the current season when he won the most recent race which was the British Grand Prix on July 18.

Charles Leclerc finished second at the British Grand Prix, while Hamilton's teammate Valtteri Bottas secured the third-place spot.

Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing-Honda is placed at the top of the Drivers' Championship standings as he looks to end Hamilton's dominance in Formula One.

McLaren-Mercedes driver Lando Norris is now placed third on the standings as the race for the Formula One world title continues.

Hamilton, who is the reigning Formula One world champion, is now eight points behind leader, Verstappen with 13 races left.

The 36-year-old, who collided with Verstappen at the British Grand Prix, felt "a lot of anger after the shunt" and blamed the Red Bull driver.

"I don't feel he needs to be aggressive as he is. I would never back down from anyone. I will not be bullied into being less aggressive," Hamilton said.

"We needed the points. He left a gap and I went for it. I'm not going to let anything get in the way of the crowd's enjoyment of the weekend and the national anthem and the British flag.

"It was so physical, chasing down Charles. I was giving absolutely everything, didn't know if my tyres were going to last."

Red Bull Racing-Honda are placed at the top of the Constructors' Championship standings and they were followed by Mercedes and McLaren-Mercedes respectively.
