Athletic Bilbao will lock horns with Real Madrid in a
Spanish La Liga match at the San Mames Barria on January 22.
The Lions suffered a 3-1 defeat to Real Sociedad away in their previous league game which was played on January 14.
As a result, Bilbao are winless in their last three matches in this competition having recorded two successive draws and one defeat.

However, the Lions are undefeated in their last three matches at home in La Liga having registered two consecutive wins and one draw at the San Mames Barria.
"For me it's neither a penalty nor a sending off. It's a very harsh penalty," Bilbao manager Ernest Valverde said about the penalty caused by Yeray Alvarez in their game against Sociedad.
"It makes me think of all the situations at the beginning of the season and when we were told there would be no soft penalties. It looks like there still are.
"Both teams were getting into the final third and creating danger. The penalty really threw us off."
Meanwhile, Madrid succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Villarreal CF away in their previous league encounter which was played on January 7.
The defeat ended the Whites' two-match unbeaten run in this competition having recorded two victories in a row before facing Villarreal.
Madrid have lost two of their last three matches on the road in La Liga, while the other game ended as a victory for the visitors.
The last meeting between Bilbao and Madrid in a league match was on 22 December 2021.
The encounter which was played at the seventh largest stadium in Spain, San Mames Barria ended in a 2-1 win in favour of Madrid.
