“We weren’t lacking in terms of character, we were lacking in terms of result against Real Madrid. We did the same against Atalanta, another strong side, and they find it difficult to play against us too,” said manager Antonio Conte.

“We had the chances to kill off the game, but maybe we are missing that killer instinct to take home results that we deserve, and then concede an equaliser.”
Torino continued their inconsistent form at the start of the season after they could only draw 0-0 at home to bottom-of-the-log Crotone on November 8, leaving them above the relegation zone only on goal difference.
"We played a smart game, it was a very tactical clash but we didn’t do bad,” said manager Marco Giampaolo. “Two weeks ago we would have lost this game, we remained focused and we were compact, we didn’t waste energies. A few players were not brilliant, our players were smart.”
