Real Madrid will face Celta Vigo in the 2019/20 Spanish La Liga match at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday.

The win extended Real's unbeaten run to 14 matches in the league having recorded four draws and 10 wins.

They are also undefeated in their last 11 home matches in the league having recorded eight victories and three draws.

Federico Valverde, the Real midfielder, has stressed the importance of being consistent as they look to clinch the league title. 
 
“Every win we get is one step closer to our goal, which is to lift the title," Valverde said. 
 
"It’s important to work hard for the team, provide support and do my bit, and I will do so whenever I can."

Meanwhile, Celta secured a 2-1 win over Sevilla at home in their previous league game which was played on February 9.
 
The Sky Blues snubbed their eight-match winless run in the league having registered five draws and three defeats.

However, they are winless in their last four games on the road in the league having registered three defeats and one draw. 

The last league meeting between Real and Celta was on the 17th of August 2019.

Real recorded a 3-1 victory over Celta in a match which was played at the Abanca-Balaidos.
