Brentford FC will be keen to record a third successive win in the Premier League when they face Tottenham Hotspur at the Gtech Community Stadium on 1 January.

Current Form

The Bees emerged as 4-1 winners over AFC Bournemouth at home on 27 December as they extended their unbeaten run to two matches in the league, having recorded back-to-back wins.

Brentford are also unbeaten in their last five home matches in the Premier League at the Gtech Community Stadium, having recorded four victories and one draw, which came against Leeds United.

Tottenham, on the other hand, secured a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace away on 28 December, snapping their two-match winless run in the league, having lost back-to-back matches.

The victory over Palace also ended Spurs' three-match winless run on the road in the Premier League, having registered one draw and two defeats as the visitors.

Team News

Brentford have Antoni Milambo, Fabio Carvalho, Josh Dasilva and Sepp Van den Berg on their injury list.

The Bees have no suspension worries, but Dango Ouattara (Burkina Faso) and Frank Onyeka (Nigeria) are competing at the ongoing 2025 AFCON.

Meanwhile, Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Dominic Solanke and Destiny Udogie are all on the Tottenham injury list, and their teammate Xavier Simons remains suspended.

Spurs duo Pape Matar Sarr (Senegal) and Yves Bissouma (Mali) are on national duty at the 2025 AFCON.

Quotes

“It’s always the goal for us defenders to keep the ball as far away as possible from our goal and try and keep the clean sheet, and we did that today," Tottenham star Kevin Danso said after his side's win over Palace.

“I think it’s given us a lot of confidence the way we’ve performed in some of the games over the past few weeks. The results are not always going our way, but I think we showed the character and the togetherness we have.

"Sometimes we have to grind out results like we did today and I feel once we hit that step and we learn to do that consistently, we'll be a real tough force.”

Head-to-Head

Tottenham claimed a 2-0 win over Brentford in their last meeting in the league, which was on 6 December 2025 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

As a result, Spurs are undefeated in their last five Premier League games against the Bees, having recorded one draw and four wins.
