The Chicago Bulls will lock horns with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the National Basketball Association (NBA) match on January 1.
This will be the 228th match between the two teams in regular-season games since the 1970-71 campaign which was the Cavaliers' inaugural NBA season.
The Bulls have the upper hand in this rivalry having registered 132 wins compared to the Cavaliers' 95 victories.

However, it was the Cavaliers who emerged victorious in the last meeting between the two teams which was on 23 October 2022 at the Uniter Center.
Donovan Mitchell led the way for the Cavaliers with 32 points, nine rebounds and eight assists as the Cavaliers secured a 128-96 win over the Bulls.
The Bulls find themselves in the 11th spot on the Eastern Conference standings, having recorded 13 victories and 18 defeats from 31 matches.
On the other hand, the Cavaliers are placed third on the Eastern Conference standings, having registered 22 victories and 11 defeats from 33 games.

Cavaliers head coach J.B. Bickerstaff was happy to see his side thump Milwaukee Bucks 114-106, at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Thursday morning, December 22.
“They’re a championship team. They’re not going to give in. They’re going to make their run," Bickerstaff said.
“I think in the past, we haven’t been able to sustain that run. I think it was a great step for us. We showed a lot of poise. We kept our composure.
"What was most impressive to me is we continued to do it together. When mistakes happen with this team, we don’t fold. We will find a way to band together.”
