Bayern Munich will play host to Fortuna Dusseldorf in a German
Bundesliga match at the Allianz Arena on May 30.
The Bavarians are coming off a 1-0 win over Borussia Dortmund away in their previous league match which was played on May 26.
It was Bayern's seventh consecutive league victory. They are also undefeated in their last 14 matches in the competition.
Furthermore, Bayern are undefeated in their last seven home matches in the Bundesliga having registered six victories and one draw.
Joshua Kimmich, the Bayern defender-cum-midfielder, stressed the importance of doing well in their upcoming matches.
"We now have a good cushion on Dortmund. That was brutally important today," Kimmich said.
"It'll be mentally difficult for Dortmund to keep up. We have to reaffirm this lead in the next games."
Meanwhile, Dusseldorf secured a 2-1 win over Schalke 04 at home in their previous match which was played on May 27.
The win extended Fortunen's unbeaten run to six matches in the league having registered four draws and two wins.
They are also undefeated in their last four home matches in the Bundesliga having recorded one win and three draws.
The last time Bayern took on Dusseldorf in a league match was on 23 November 2019. The Bavarians recorded a comfortable 4-0 win over Fortunen in a match which was played at the Merkur Spiel-Arena.
