Scottie Scheffler will be keen to win the
St. Jude Championship for the first time and boost his chances of winning the 2023 FedEx Cup.

The American superstar has qualified for the FedExCup Playoffs in the past three seasons (2020-2022) due to his consistency.
Scheffler earned his best finish in the FedEx St. Jude Championship with a T4 (2020/TPC Boston) with his compatriot Dustin Johnson winning the tournament.

The accomplished golfer missed the recent Barracuda Championship, 3M Open and Wyndham Championship after finishing 23rd at the 2023 Open Championship.
The New Jersey-born golfer is currently placed at the top of the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) as he looks to consolidate his spot by winning the St. Jude Championship.
Why Scheffler is among the favourites
Scheffler came close to winning the 2022 FedEx Cup as he finished second behind three-time champion Rory McIlroy.
The 27-year-old will be eager to go one step further and win this year's FedExCup. Winning the St. Jude Championship will put him in a good position to go on to clinch the FedEx Cup.

Scheffler, who is arguably the best golfer in the world, was asked if there was a secret to success on the PGA Tour.
"If there was a secret, you would have seen a lot more guys do it than just Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus," Scheffler said on Reuters in March this year.
"It's a tough question. It's different for everybody. I think I've developed a good recipe for good golf out here and that will be something that I'm going to try to not change in the future."
