Celta Vigo will square off with an in-form Real Madrid side in a Spanish La Liga match at the Abanca-Balaídos on 25 August.

The Sky Blues held Real Sociedad to a 1-1 draw away on 19 August and they are now winless in their last two matches in the league.
 
Celta lost to CA Osasuna in their last home game and that defeat ended their two-match unbeaten run at the Abanca-Balaídos.
 
Meanwhile, Madrid secured a 3-1 win over UD Almeria away on 19 August as they extended their unbeaten run to five matches in La Liga.
 
The Whites are also undefeated in their last three matches on the road having registered three consecutive victories as the visitors.

Gonçalo Paciência and Carles Pérez will be missing due to their respective injuries, but Celta have no suspension concerns. 
 
While Madrid's Éder Militão, Thibaut Courtois,  Arda Güler, Ferland Mendy and Dani Ceballos are currently injured and the club has no suspension worries.

"We could have dealt with it better but sometimes you have to give credit to their quality up top, it was a fantastic move and they got the goal. We didn't lose control and gradually worked our way into the game," he added.
 
"We had a lot of chances and moved around really well, there are no fixed positions. That helps to make life tough for the opposition defensively. We have great variety and that helps us create chances."

Madrid beat Celta 2-0 in their last meeting in La Liga with the match taking place at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on 22 April 2023.
