FC Augsburg will face off with VFL Wolfsburg in a
German Bundesliga match at the WWK Arena on May 16.
Fuggerstädter succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich away in their previous match which was played on March 8.
The defeat extended Augsburg's winless run to five matches having registered four defeats and one draw.
They are also winless in their last two home matches in the Bundesliga having recorded a draw and a defeat.
Meanwhile, Wolfsburg were held to a 0-0 draw by RB Leipzig at home in their previous match which was played on March 7.
As a result, Verein für Leibesübungen are undefeated in their last six matches in the league having registered three draws and three wins.
They are also unbeaten in their last three away matches in the Bundesliga having recorded two wins and one draw.
The club has announced that midfielder Yannick Gerhardt is set to miss the match against Augsburg.
"VfL Wolfsburg will be without the services of Yannick Gerhardt for the time being. The midfielder suffered a facial fracture during an internal friendly in training on Saturday. The 26-year-old is currently in the hospital for a scan which will reveal the severity of the injury," a club statement read.
The last meeting between Augsburg and Wolfsburg in a league match was on 27 October 2019. The match ended in a goalless draw at the Volkswagen Arena.
