Matchday 33
Bologna vs Inter Milan
Renato Dall’ Ara
Bologna, Italy
Sunday ,20 April 2025
Kick-off is at 18h00

Inter Milan will be less than comfortable heading into their next Serie A assignment as they prepare to take on fifth placed Bologna at Renato Dall’ Ara on Sunday, 20 April.

As it stands, Inter hold a three-point lead at the top of the pile following their 3-1 win against Cagliari last time out.  The 20-time Serie A champions are now on a seven-match unbeaten streak in the league ahead of their midweek UEFA Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.

Reflecting on his side’s recent win against Cagliari, Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi reserved special praises for striker Marko Arnautovic, who opened the scoring at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

“Marko is doing very well. But that’s nothing new,” Inzaghi said.
“He did just as well last season. Today he was very good, As he has been in the last few matches here at the San Siro. Now he has to keep going like this. All of Inter has to.

“We’re at our 48th match of the season already. Last season there were 49. We can’t stop now.”
As for Bologna, who are hoping to finish in the Serie A top four this season, suffered a damaging 2-0 loss against Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium this past Sunday.

Following up on Bologna’s loss, coach Vincenzo Italiano believes that his side were unable to recover from Atalanta’s lead in the first half.

“We got caught out from the first attack of the match, and it immediately became an uphill battle. When you go two goals down against Atalanta, it gets really tough,” Italiano said.

“Our first 20 minutes weren’t up to par, but then we reacted and came close to getting back into it on several occasions. Credit should also go to our opponents, who, despite what was being said, clearly weren’t struggling – and they certainly proved that today.”
