AS Rome will square off with AC Milan in an Italian Serie A match at the Stadio Olimpico on April 29.

Current Form

The Yellow and Reds claimed a comprehensive 3-0 win over Udinese Calcio at home on April 16 and they are undefeated in their last three league games.

Roma are also unbeaten in their last two home matches having recorded two consecutive victories at the Stadio Olimpico.

While Milan claimed a comfortable 2-0 win over US Lecce at home on April 23 as they extended their unbeaten run to four matches in Serie A.

Rossoneri are also undefeated in their last two matches on the road having registered one draw and one win as the visitors.

What Is At Stake

Roma are competing for a top four finish in the Serie A this season as they are placed fourth on the standings.

Jose Mourinho's side will consolidate its spot in the top four if they beat Milan who are slowly regaining their old form.

Milan are placed fifth on the league standings and a win over Roma would see Rossoneri boost their ambitions of finishing in the top four.

Team News

Rick Karsdorp, Chris Smalling and Georginio Wijnaldum are currently on Roma's injury list, but the club has no suspension worries.

On the other hand, Tommaso Pobega is the only Milan player who is injured and the club has no suspension concerns.

Key Players

Tammy Abraham netted his seventh league goal of the season in the win over Udinese and the England international will be eager to inspire Roma to another win.

While Rafael Leao grabbed a brace in the win over Lecce and the Milan forward will be confident of propelling Rossoneri to another victory.

Quotes

"Rafa is an intelligent lad, we know that we're in the Champions League semi-final, but for the next few weeks we need to give our all in Serie A," Milan manager Stefano Pioli said about Leao after their win over Lecce.

“I think Rafa ought to go more at the back post from open play as well as on corners. He is 1.90m tall, there are few full-backs who can deal with him physically in those situations.

"There are all these little areas he needs to improve on and we're working on them in training,: he continued.

“We had patience, but not the same sharpness that we needed in the final third, where we made too many bad choices. We controlled the match as expected and ran hardly any risks."

Head-to-Head

Roma and Milan drew 1-1 in their last meeting in the league which was on 8 January 2023 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

As a result, Rossoneri are undefeated in their last six matches against Yellow and Reds having registered four wins and two draws.
