Brooks Koepka will be looking to add a third leg of a career Grand Slam by clinching the 2022 Masters Tournament.

The American star, who is a former world number one in the Official World Golf Ranking, is set to make his seventh appearance in this event.

Koepka had three straight finishes of T-11 or better at Augusta, including a runner-up to Tiger Woods in 2019, before he missed the cut in 2021.

The eight-time PGA Tour winner has won four major tournaments since he turned professional in 2012 and he has been named PGA Player of the Year twice.

Koepka won his first major championship by claiming the US Open title in 2017 and his win tied him for the record of the lowest US Open score at 16 under (tied with Rory McIlroy's 2011 record).

The Florida-born golfer then successfully defended his US Open title becoming the first player since Curtis Strange in 1989 to win successive US Open titles, which has occurred only seven times.

Koepka then clinched the PGA Championship in 2018 and 2019, becoming the first golfer in history to hold back-to-back titles in two majors simultaneously.

The 31-year-old recently spoke about the pressures inherent in all major championships before dropping this nugget.

“I was actually thinking about it today,” Koepka said when speaking to Golf Digest.

"It would be one of the first times in like five years I've been healthy. I think I missed it in 2017 or 2018, my wrist; 2019, I was healthy; 2020, my left knee.

"And then my right knee. And then it's like, all right, I'm just ready to be healthy to play it.”
