Lando Norris will be hoping to register his 10th career victory in Formula One when he competes in the
Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

The McLaren driver secured a podium spot at the Italian Grand Prix on 7 September, the most recent race on the 2025 Formula One World Championship calendar.
Norris started on the second grid and went on to finish as the runner-up, achieving his 39th podium, while also collecting 18 points from the race.
Formula One title ambitions
The Bristol-born racing driver is still placed second in the World Drivers' Championship standings, having accumulated 293 points.
Norris is 31 points behind leader Oscar Piastri of McLaren and 63 points ahead of third-placed Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing.
Why Norris could win the 2025 Azerbaijan Grand Prix
The 25-year-old returns to the Azerbaijan Baku City Circuit, where he narrowly missed out on a podium spot as he finished fourth.
Having won three of the last six races in the 2025 Formula One World Championship season, Norris will be determined to boost his title ambitions by winning this weekend's race.
What did he say?
“We just didn’t have the pace to challenge today – one of the few weekends this year where we’ve not quite had the pace to win," Norris said after finishing second at the 2025 Italian Grand Prix.
"But it was still a good race, and I enjoyed it. I did everything I could today. I had a good fight at the start – it’s always a good fight with Max [Verstappen]– but he came out on top, and they deserved it this weekend.
"There wasn’t a lot more I could do, second was the best we could achieve.”
