The 2026 United States Grand Prix returns to the Circuit of The Americas in Austin this weekend for Round 18 of the Formula 1 World Championship.
What to know about the United States Grand Prix
The US Grand Prix has moved around a lot, running at ten different tracks since 1959—including stops at Sebring, Watkins Glen, and Indianapolis.
It found a permanent home at Austin's Circuit of The Americas in 2012, where its steep uphill Turn 1 quickly made it a modern classic and fan favourite.

Max Verstappen claimed victory for Red Bull Racing at the Singapore Grand Prix at Marina Bay on 11 October.
Charles Leclerc finished second for Ferrari, with Andrea Kimi Antonelli completing the podium in third for Mercedes.
Standings
Andrea Kimi Antonelli leads the Drivers’ Championship with 340 points and George Russell sits second with 238 points.
Lewis Hamilton is third on 229, while Max Verstappen ranks fourth on 221 points, holding a narrow margin over Charles Leclerc on 215 and Lando Norris on 201.
Mercedes leads the Constructors’ Championship (578 points), ahead of Ferrari (444 points), McLaren (339 points), and Red Bull Racing (332 points).

"We gave it our all today and extracted the maximum, so I’m happy with our result. Red Bull and Max (Verstappen) were very strong all weekend, and even though I pushed throughout it wasn’t quite enough to catch him in the end," Leclerc said after his runner-up finish at the 2026 Singapore GP.
"We had a good pace and made the right calls today, with a different strategy that worked out well for us today. Next up we head to Austin. We will see what we can do there, and what all our competitors will bring in terms of upgrades which might reshuffle things again for the final set of races this season."
