After a second-place finish at the Malaysia MotoGP last time out, Red Bull KTM rider Pedro Acosta will hope for much of the same fortunes looking ahead to the
Portugal MotoGP.
Acosta accumulated a well-deserved 20 points at the Sepang Circuit last month and finished with a time of +2.676s behind winner Álex Márquez.
As it stands, Acosta sits in fifth position on the Rider’s standing list with 260 points to his name, along with four podiums throughout the calendar.
The KTM Rider was also on the podium at the Indonesia MotoGP after he claimed second position behind Fermín Aldeguer who collected his first 2025 MotoGP win.
In summary of his 2026 MotoGP bid, Acosta believes that he is extracting everything from his bike and feels that KTM know what to do in order to compete alongside the likes of Ducati and Gresini Racing.
“I know that I’m taking 100% out of the package that we have. For this, if it’s not in my hands, I cannot get angry at all.
“At the end, KTM knows exactly that they have to work. They know we have to make a step if we want to fight for something, or at least to be constantly on the podium.
“You cannot achieve everything from day to night. I will try to keep myself calm, and if it has to arrive, then it will arrive. When you are competitive, everything is open.”
