AC Milan will face a stern test on Matchday 1 of the new Serie A season, as they travel to the Turin Olympic Stadium for a clash with Torino on the evening of Sunday 23 August.

Torino finished 12th in Serie A last season – five points off the top half and 14 points off the pace needed to qualify for Europe. Coach Roberto D’Aversa parted ways with the club, who opted to replace him with Ignazio Abate after his impressive work in Serie B with Juve Stabia.
Il Tore have been active in the transfer market by signing Giovanni Simeone, Tino Anjorin, Sandro Kulenovic, Kian Fitz-Jin, Diego Mascardi and others, while Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, Sebastian Walukiewicz and Semba Seck have been sold.
Milan finished fifth in Serie A last season, missing out on the top four – and qualification for the UEFA Champions League – by just one point. Coach Massimiliano Allegri departed the club and has been replaced by former Sporting and Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim.
The Rossoneri’s work in the transfer market includes the additions of Goncalo Ramos, Mario Gila and Sankhoun Diawara, while Alex Jimenez, Alvaro Morata, Lorenzo Colombo and Tommaso Pogeba have been sold.
