Atlético Madrid will seek revenge against Villarreal when they meet in a La Liga clash at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano on 23 August.

Atlético Madrid are without Alexander Sørloth (muscle) and are expected to rest Julián Álvarez after the World Cup, while Marc Pubill, Marcos Llorente and Álex Baena continue building full fitness.
Meanwhile, Villarreal continue without Juan Foyth (Achilles recovery), though Pau Cabanes has returned from an ACL injury and both Santi Comesaña and Gerard Moreno are fully available.
